ESGO Cervical cancer resource-stratified guidelines

A multidisciplinary international development group led by Prof. David Cibula (ESGO) and consisting of 22 experts identified potential limitations to the standards of care as defined in the current updated ESGO-ESTRO-ESP Cervical cancer guidelines published in 2023 and suggested alternative approaches. The working group followed a global ESGO survey run in 2023 which involved 256 clinicians from 57 countries and pointed out potential limitations/barriers and missing recommendations. The new resource-stratified guidelines on the management of women living with human immunodeficiency virus have also been proposed. To ensure a global perspective, the guidelines were reviewed by independent international practitioners from Asia, Africa, Europe, South, Central and North Americas.
