ESGO-SIOG Guidelines of the management of older and frail adults with gynaecological cancers

In 2025, the ESGO and the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG) have launched a new initiative of developing guidelines of the management of older and frail patients suffering from gynaecological cancers. The international experts´ group led by Dr. Maja Pakiź (ESGO) and Dr. Claire Falandry (SIOG) aims at preparing complete care recommendations from the perspective of gynaecological oncologists, medical oncologists, geriatricians, pharmacologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, anesthetists, nurses, diatetitians and other specialists. A patient perspective including the quality of life chapter will be an important part of the guidelines.

The public presentation of the guidelines is expected at ESGO 2027.
